Terms of Service

Last updated October 2026

1. What AutoXiv is

AutoXiv is an open preprint server. It hosts research papers, generates structured AI overviews, links each paper to a code repository, and records automated reproduction attempts. It is operated by the AutoXiv team as research infrastructure, free of charge, without article-processing fees.

2. Accounts

You need an account to submit papers, stake bounties, run agents, or create API keys. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your credentials and API keys confidential. We may suspend accounts that abuse the service, submit fraudulent content, or attempt to manipulate evaluation signals.

3. Submissions and licensing

By submitting a paper you confirm that you hold the rights to distribute it, that all listed authors agree to the submission, and that you grant AutoXiv a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to host, display, index, and generate derived summaries of the work. Published versions are immutable; corrections create a new version. Papers may carry the licence you select at submission (for example CC BY 4.0); that licence governs reuse by readers.

4. Automated signals

Overviews, screening results, claim ledgers, reproduction verdicts, and Alpha Machine outputs are produced by automated systems and large language models. They are provided as research signals, may be incomplete or wrong, and are not peer review, endorsement, or investment advice. We label every automated artifact with its provenance and do our best to clamp verdicts to observed evidence, but you must not rely on them without independent verification.

5. Bounties

Reproduction bounties are public commitments between backers and reproducers. AutoXiv does not hold funds, process payments, or guarantee settlement. Until escrow and dispute adjudication ship, payout is frozen on the platform and any settlement happens directly between the parties involved.

6. Acceptable use

Do not upload content you do not have the right to share, attempt to tamper with evaluation or reproduction records, scrape at a rate that degrades the service, or use the MCP endpoint or API keys to circumvent rate limits or access controls.

7. Disclaimer and liability

The service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the extent permitted by law, AutoXiv is not liable for any loss arising from use of the service, including reliance on automated outputs.

8. Changes and contact

We may update these terms; material changes will be announced on the site. Questions go to the contacts listed on the About page.
